Nürburgring, the famous racing circuit in Germany, has implemented a new regulation banning motorcycles from participating in the public sessions known as “Touristenfahrten” starting from the 2025 season.

This decision was made due to safety concerns, as the different driving dynamics between two- and four-wheeled vehicles can lead to misunderstandings, especially for motorcyclists.

From now on, the iconic Nordschleife’s tourist sessions will be restricted to cars only. However, motorcyclists will still be able to ride the 20.8 km circuit, but only during “guided tours in professionally organized training sessions.”

This change was driven by the high number of severe motorcycle accidents, which often result in the complete closure of the track and, consequently, a loss of revenue.

Despite the ban on public sessions, Nürburgring will continue to allow motorcycles access to the shorter, more modern Grand Prix circuit. For the year, 38 tourist drive dates are scheduled, including periods exclusively reserved for motorcycles.
